Manchester Care Homes: See What Difference Our Memory Care Homes Can Do For You

memory care home facilities in dallas txAs your loved ones age, it’s essential to start thinking about where they will spend the last years of their lives. While some older adults can continue to live independently, some need extra assistance. Although it may be a difficult journey to transition into a new home, it can provide your aging loved one with a safe environment in which to live. Our memory care homes have much to offer.

Our Home-Like Atmosphere

We strive to create a home-like atmosphere for all types of older adults. We understand it isn’t easy having to move facilities if a person’s physical or cognitive condition unfortunately worsens. We can purposefully provide varying levels of care that let your loved one age gracefully in a comfortable, home-like environment. We also recognize that every older adult has different needs, which is why we create a personalized care plan by meeting with residents, their families, and the Director of Nursing. Our memory care homes are also unique in that each unit is a suite structured like an existing home so that residents feel more comfortable. Each suite is larger than the average room in other facilities and features an en-suite, ADA-compliant bathroom. We provide an HDTV, but leave the rest of the rooms unfurnished so your loved ones can decorate as they please. Residents and their families don’t have to worry about paying multiple bills when they move in with us. Our monthly fees cover a majority of the daily expenses, such as:
  • All utilities except for a cell or landline phone
  • Heating and air conditioning
  • Meals and snacks
  • Maintenance and repairs
  • 24-hour security and emergency response
  • Professional landscaping
  • Property taxes
  • Cable TV

Not Just A Room but a Safe, Caring and Social Environment

Our services are provided by highly trained staff, who are all W-2 employees (no contractors) explicitly trained to work with older adults, including those with a cognitive impairment like dementia. Some examples of our services include assisting with toileting, bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility. In addition, we work with our Medical Director to provide senior health care through primary care services. We have staff that regularly come to our facilities to perform services such as blood work or x-rays, letting residents access these medical services in the comfort of their own home rather than going to a doctor’s office. The following services are also available:

  • Podiatrists (every three months)
  • Dentists and dental assistants (per request)
  • Hairdressers (weekly)
  • Manicurists (monthly)

If your loved ones live in an assisted living facility, it’s natural to be concerned about whether they will be taken care of properly. Our small 4 to 1 resident to staff ratio ensures our residents will be well looked after. We have a regular schedule for bathing and grooming, including helping residents who struggle with incontinence. Also, our staff is available 24/7/365 to handle any incidents or emergencies that may come up.

Social Support at Manchester Memory Care Home Facilities in Dallas, TX

We consider social support and engagement to be imperative. Socialization builds new relationships, adjusts perceptions, and enables residents to enjoy their stay. It is also proven to help with depression. Isolation and depression in the elderly may seem not to affect them physically. However, the effects can cause high blood pressure, illness and increase the risk of early death. Seniors, however, who maintain active and independent lifestyles gain benefits that boost physical health, emotional well-being, and the ability to continue their independence for longer. We provide residents with plenty of opportunities to socialize with each other through daily activities. All meals are served in our communal dining room. However, if your loved one isn’t feeling up to being social, we can deliver any meal to their room per their request. We also encourage family members to be a part of their lives at Manchester by coming to have meals with them as much as possible. You will never have to pay to share a meal with your loved one at any of our homes. If your loved one isn’t quite ready to live in a residential facility but could benefit from in-home assistance, our home health agency Manchester Care Homes is what you need. Our priority is providing the best possible care to our residents as possible. Come check us out.
